Community Standards

Clear standards for how SheFront publishes, protects its community and operates the platform.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

The community we want

SheFront is built for serious, respectful conversation about women’s lives, health, work, culture, leadership and lived experience.

Disagreement is allowed. Harassment, intimidation and dehumanising treatment are not.

Be respectful

Do not target people with threats, sexual harassment, repeated personal abuse, stalking behaviour or degrading attacks based on identity or personal characteristics.

Critique ideas, institutions and public actions without turning disagreement into abuse of another community member.

Protect privacy

Do not post another person’s private phone number, home address, medical record, intimate image, private message or other sensitive personal information without appropriate permission.

Be especially careful with information that could identify children, survivors of violence or people discussing sensitive health matters.

No exploitation or graphic harm

Content that celebrates or encourages sexual violence, abuse, self-harm, exploitation or serious physical harm may be removed. Contextual reporting or survivor-centred discussion may be allowed when handled responsibly.

No misinformation presented as fact

Do not knowingly publish fabricated evidence, manipulated claims or false information designed to mislead readers.

Health and safety claims may receive additional editorial scrutiny because inaccurate information can cause real harm.

Originality and rights

Do not submit copied work as your own. Credit sources and obtain permission for material you do not have the right to publish.

Promotions and commercial activity

Do not disguise advertisements, affiliate promotions, recruitment schemes or commercial solicitations as independent community stories. Commercial relationships should be disclosed.

Comments

Comments may be moderated before appearing publicly. We may reject comments that are abusive, spammy, off-topic, unsafe, unlawfully identifying or designed primarily to provoke harassment.

Enforcement

Depending on severity and context, SheFront may remove content, reject submissions, request edits, limit participation, deactivate accounts or preserve records needed for safety or legal review.

Reporting concerns

Use the Report or Contact option when you believe a story, comment or account violates these standards. Provide enough detail for the editorial team to understand the concern.
